ABOUT TAREK ELIAS
Tarek was born and raised in Israel to a Syrian-Lebanese family. After finishing his med school in Germany, he moved to the US to follow his real passion: Cooking. For many years, Tarek built up a career in teaching and working as a private chef for very exclusive clients. His cuisine is authentic and will always give a reminder of his roots. Spending many years in different places inspired him to bring an amazing twist to his dishes.

Starting off with Homemade Hummus Trio served with falafel & pickles, Chopped Greek Fatoosh Salad, an Individual portion of Shakshuka, ending off with a Pistachio Danilo dessert. There are add ons such as Roasted Cauliflower & Baked Feta for the table to share.

In 2019, Chris founded MYYZ Concepts to showcase to the global audience, the diversity and uniqueness of Malaysian food. The name MYYZ (pronounced “meez”) is inspired by the French culinary term “mis en place”, meaning “everything in its place”, and is also a play on the combination of Chris’ Malaysian origins (MY) and his wife’s roots in Toronto (YYZ).
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Chris is a self-trained chef who has spent several years cultivating his passion and talent for food across Hong Kong, the United States, and Taiwan.
Having moved to Hong Kong at the age of 5, Chris’ career originally began in the entertainment industry, where he first discovered his love for food. Returning to Hong Kong, he decided to pursue a full-time career in the culinary arts.
An ode to his international background, Chris’ specialty lies in the intersection of Western and Southeast Asian cuisine. He aims to continue exploring new ways to blend the traditional dishes of his childhood with modern interpretations to excite and thrill food enthusiasts everywhere.
